I have been a true blue Chevy man for over 25 years now. Never owned anything else, and you couldn't convince me otherwise. I have been shoping for a new truck for about two years. I have been using "FTE" for information that long also. I have been back and forth between the Chevy and the Ford, driving and comparing. Well,,,,,, Ford won.! I just can't stand what Chevy has done to their truck. They are All squinty eyed, and they look like they picked out a whole bunch of parts out of the junk yard and bolted them on, and called it a truck. You don't even sit square behind the wheel. Enough said.
Let me see if I can do this like you pros.
2004 SD F350 4x4 cc Lariat LB. 6.0L V-8 Diesel 5 speed auto trani, Dark Toreador red clearcoat / medium parchment leather interior. Got everything I wanted except the cab lights. Just over a thousand miles and loving it. All I see now is the competition in the "Rear view mirror" Hince the name.
This truck puts all my past Chevy trucks, and everyone else's to SHAME. And I don't seem to mind looking at them behind me at all.
I think I'm here to stay.
Hi Rearview, Welcome. I'll bet you'll love it more as you drive it. I just bought my first Ford & first pickup last Nov. I got a '04, F250, cc,sb,Fx4, 6.0 psd & have about 13,500 miles with a bit of heavy towing. It drives like a dream & is a pleasure to own. Take care. Rick

Welcome....
and wait until you start "personalizing" it....
it gets even "betta" !!!
Someone posted a thread about adding the cab lights and was stunned how much cheaper and easier it was than he thought.... let me see if I can find it with the search...
Welcome to the "I do not buy GM Club" Rearview, I to have ditched GM trucks. I am on my second PSD and love it. I could not stand the GM independant front, eventual track IFS as I called it, and bought my 95 XLT 7.3 4X4. I now have a 2003 6.0 and could not be happier, plus the leg room, I am 6'3 and don't have the seat all the way back.
I looked at Dodge, but the coil spring front suspension is just wrong, now Ford went to this... ...not sure what I will do next. I may be driving my 2003 for many years.
We apprreciate new members and REALLY appreciate converts from the
dark side.
Good luck with your new driving experience and remember that if you do hit any bumps along your journey...well...come here first. The best ammunition in the world is knowledge.
