Can;t get a throttle cable

For a 97 Aerostar. Even a couple of Ford dealers couldn't help me out.

Any suggestions?

They make cables for Motorcycles that can be retrofited. Stange the dealers can't get you one.

They say its been discontinued and there is no cross reference. I asked what would they do if I brought my van into the shop and they couldn't give me a definite answer.

I know there was a recall on them at one time.

Go to junkyard/do a search... or if all else fails, repair/custom make. It is sad that for a 97 this is a problem.

I was under the impression that dealers had to make parts for at least 10 years before they could drop a part?

It is very sad for a 97.

Try calling your dealer. See what they say.
