Question Low Pressure Valve location...

Hello. After reading through all the postings regarding recharghing and the like, I would like to know where the low pressure valve is located. I understand that they should be color coated and all BUT, they're not. There isn't even a marking on them to let me know which is what. By the way, I have a 98 Ranger XLT 4.0L. From what I see, there are two.....one located near the radiator (right front) and one located farther back to the left of the engine. I really don't want to make assumtions with this. The help will be greatly appreciated.

The one near or on the accumulator (near the firewall) is the low side service port. The one at the condensor is the high side. They are different sizes anyhow, so a low side hose fitting won't fit the high side port.

The ports on the car are not color coded the hoses on the guage set are. But they are indeed diferent sizes. That being said if you arre not completely certain of proper charging procedure you can get hurt and you can damage your system causing higher repair cost in the future. It may be best left to a pro. Its also illegal to allow any freon into the air as even the newer freons may be harmful in one way or another to our environment.
