I tried every thing to get the starter to quit grinding and now its eaten the flex plate ring gear.
guess i got to get both a new starter and flex plate.
I won't argue the early tooth count deal, but I have never seen a different part# or remember being asked what tranny I have when I purchased a starter for my FE. Are you guys sure about that? If so, that is good to know, because I have always kept a spare starter on hand for my truck and the trucks at work, if necessary.
