has anyone used redline high temp atf in a 1997 explorer xlt five speed auto trans .

Be careful what you put in your Explorer 5 speed auto trans. The new auto transmissions use Mercon V ATF which is a new fluid. Make sure that Redline is the same as Mercon V.

I just bought a 1995 explorer and the previous owner said he put redline ATF in and in the literature with explorer it says it needs Mercon oil, but it works fine. Voids warentee if you use anything but ford oil, but my warentee was up a while ago
