Need another truck..

Hey all,
This might not be the right place for me to ask this but it's 4:00am and my body's shutting down for the day...lol

I used to own a 1979 f-150 4x4 which was my baby until my real baby (first daughter) came along. Wife and I agreed that something with a back seat was in order for me so away the truck went. Well I have regretted selling it to this day. In fact I actually caught up with it several years ago but the current owner wouldn't part with it .

I live in Rhode Island and am now looking for a 1978-1979 f-350 4x4. Has to be manual trans and 8'bed. Would LOVE an extended cab or crew cab. The problem is I cant find anything around my area. I would appreciate ANY help in locating a truck. I don't have much to spend so I'm looking for a fixer-uper that I can drive home or have towed if close to N. Providence, Rhode Island area.

Thanks in advance!!
Jay

Hey Jay I hear ya, I just picked up a 1977 f100 and these are just simply great trucks. This thing had 49,000 miles on it a huge intake leak, loose carb wonky water pump and leaking diff seal. Yet it made it all the way home about 200 miles on bias ply tires and it drove like a dream. The intake leak was so bad you could put both hands over the single barrel carb and the engine still ran. Truely a fun and cheap truck to fix so keep looking I am sure you will find just what you are looking for.

I know these trucks are hard to find, but that also depends on wher you live. I live in central PA and these trucks are all over the place, litteraly. I would expand your search area and keep looking. I only took two weeks for me to find a good 77 for $1500. Of course after I bought it there was a shortbed for the same price(I love short beds)and another truck in GC for $800. they are out there.
