main bearings

Hi all. I was just wondering something. I have a 73 f-100 shorty with a stock 302 that has no oil psi due to worn main bearings. I want to replace them untill I can install my 351w(no$$$) and was wondering if they have more than one size to order or if it is a one-size-fits-all drop in replacement. Advice would be greatly appreciated.

I know they do make mains in .001 over. I don't know if that would solve your problem though.

it depends if yours is stock, or if it has been messed with over the years. It is stamped on the backside of the bearing shell, generally std, .010, 020, and 030. In all reality, you won't know until you get it apart.

No offence, but you will be wasting your time, IMHO. Run straight 40 or 50 and add some STP as required to get the guage up. Then drive with an egg taped to the gas pedal.
