Water Pump for 289
I have a 66 F100 with a 289 out of a Mustang installed. I just purchased a new Griffin radiator to install. My problem is that the lower radiator outlet on the crossflow radiator is on the driver's side and the water pump inlet is on the passenger side. Does anyone know if an early 302 water pump with the inlet on the driver's side will fit on a 289? This would make a much cleaner install than a crossover radiator hose.

I'm guessing this doesn't help but I know my '95 351w has the inlet pointing toward the driver's side, the hose goes from it to the bottom driver's side of the radiator. I'm almost 100% sure that late 302's are the same way. If early 302's were different I don't know.

I have personally swapped over the pumps and it does look alot better than a crossover. But you do need to make sure that you get one for a v-belt because if you dont your belts will "talk to you" all night long.
