Bad steering u-joint

The steering u-joint (rag joint?) is bad. What is involved in replacing it? Would a wrecking yard replacement be OK, or would new be the best way to go?

if you can get new that is the way to go, a junkyard part is probably no better than what you have now.i believe that it is just four bolts/nuts slide it out and slide the new one back in.

Ford has the whole shaft for 130. I went that route 'cause the upper u-joint and the rag were shot. Borgsen (sp?) has a heavy duty for 200+ double u-joint no rag really nice but pricey.
