OK check this out... 03 screw xlt 4.6L V8, well got ford to do my 10000 mileage service, so they rotated the tires and all, but now i have horrible gas milage, i got around 280 on this takn with a full fill up @ Chevron, but before i was getting around 360 or so, the tires are at the right PSI level and all, so im thinking maybe its the fuel filter, but i know that isnt supposed to be changed till 15000 miles, so im not sure what is going on and with the way gas is i need to get as good milage as i can any thoughts....

 

I have been getting better gas mileage since I changed my fuel filter, well a little bit.

I was thinking i belive i did have around a quarter tank of shell gasoline, then i went and filled up @ chevron, maybe the mixing gases though they were both same octane regular (87), hmm i have like about an empty tank now, im gonna try to get all of the gas uot then fill up and see what happens.

 

Are you thinking you got bad gas or you miss calculated?

280 from 360 is a big difference!

it is a big difference, i dont know wahts going on with it, even the guy at the ford dealer said thats weird, he has the same truck and all and gets around 360 like i used to, hmm i dont know, of course i found better milage with diamond shamrock before anyone else, i might just go back to them. also i dont have any heavy weight in the truck, its just empty cept for me added heh, 130 lb 20 year old.
