Questions before proceeding
I have an '88 F-150 XLT 4x4 351 automatic. It has 130000 miles and burns no oil. The engine still feels strong.
I have 3 main additions I want to make to this truck 1) new wheels and tires 2) a custom seat and 3) new paint. I will be saving money and making these additions one at a time in that order.
The problem I have is I don't want to drop a load on a mod and then have engine problems and be in a financial bind. I know there are no guarantees, but what steps can I take to make assure me my engine is strong. I figure I should have the oil pressure tested and do a compression test, but is there anything else?
