There is a guy in Blaine Lake Saskatchewan that has maybe 60 old trucks in his yard. I tried to get some pics of them. A couple of refridgerator trucks....Ford and Merc.
He doesn't want to sell parts only complete trucks and doesn't want to "give them away" either.
Try my gallery.....if i can get it to work
He is buying them from all over the province fairly cheap, but wants lots more to sell them. He bought two of those 59s for $800, towed them home and when i phoned him he said $1200 for the one ! I phoned the guy he bought them from so i know they were $800
Great Pictures. Stirs up the blood from my childhood days. I have my 49 F3 under a canopy in the back yard and everytime my wife looks out there, she sounds like she is looking at your pictures.
This was brought up here before. The owner posted here for a bit. Too bad he is trying to make a buck. He said he had a cab for someone which wasn't cheap. I said I had one of the same quality for $50. He said all that stuff should have been crushed years ago. I replied I'm not trying to make money just helping a fellow Ford trucker. I haven't seen him since. You sort of wonder if he's an enthusiast if he thinks you should crush old vehicles if they aren't in top condition.
I imagine it was only a matter of time before someone tapped the best untapped resource in Canada. D'ya suppose he has a '57 Merc or a Merc unibody in that bunch?
I doubt it cost him $400 to move the truck and park it in his yard. It's almost like his yard is a bank. The price of the truck goes up the longer it sits there.
Maybe you should make a trip to meet Don before you pass judgement. Im sure the trucks dont just fall into his yard from the sky, And when I had met him he had a few deals that had gone sour and he lost some cash and a hay bayler. And while your on the subject of high prices....This from the guy who wants $400 for a 1973 429 (201 net hp ). I did get a 69 429 with the c6 for $300. Just my 2cents. How does the saying go...People who live in glass houses shouldnt throw stones...

Agreeded, I have dealt with Don and found him to be fair. I would have no problem in dealing with him agin. I like his little F1 truck that he had at a car show last year(with a Ford power train), it was nce and clean.
That is what my brother payed for the 429 5 years ago from a wrecker. So we aren't asking more than we payed for it. Well we could have probally tossed the C-6 that is bolted to the 351m in the ranchero in but you didn't ask. The trucks parts I've sold have been cheap.
