Question AC Orifice replacement

I have located my Air conditioning orifice and can see it in the pipe, but I have been unable to remove it.

Is there a trick or special tool needed to remove the orifice tube?

You should be able to latch on to it with a pair of needle nose pliers and yank it out. It has a couple of o-rings on it, so it may take a tug or two. There are a few instances where the o-tube is an integral part of the hose its in, but if you already have a replacement tube, you would be able to tell if that's the case or not.

Thanks for the input. I have tried the needle nose pliers but could not get it out. I will keep trying. I have the new one and it looks like it should just slip out.

thanks again.

Yeah, it may take some force to get it out of there, especially if its not been changed before. A good, sharp yank will usually do it.
