5.4 is free over the 4.6 !

If I'm not mistaken (which is possible) - Ford is offering a rebate on the Tow-n-go package which covers the cost of the upgrade from 4.6 to 5.4 liter that is also equipped with the towing package. You should be able to get into the 5.4 for the same $$$$ after rebate!

My dad used to have a 97 F150 with the 4.6 and it really sucked on snowmobile trips... even the alluminum snowmobile trailor (3 place) was too much. Whenever pulling it was quite the pig. He sold in 01 and got a 02 F150 Fx4 crewcab xlt towing pkg, offroad pkg, blah blah and it has the 5.4, tows like the trailor isnt even there, accelerates nicely too.
