4X4 question

Today I was out at the ranch and drove down into a sandy draw. I dropped it into 4hi and took off I had some pretty bad vibration when in 4wd. I almost barried it to the frame and had to go into 4lo to get out. Still had some vibration. This is not the first time I used 4wd but this is the hardest I had to be on it. I had to keep her to the floor to get out when I had to turn around in that sand.
Shifted in and out fine but big vibrations in 4wd.

Anyone else have this problem??

I thought the same thing about wheel hop. If it feels like the truck is bouncing around all over the place, and you are WOT, let off the pedal to limit the amount the wheels are spinning. This should reduce or eliminate that bouncing affect.

No wheel hop. Just a lot of vibration. Wheel hop is very easy to notice, since you bounce half way out of these trucks. I have plenty of 4x4 driving experience. Feels like the front shaft is way outta balance or vibration from the T-case. My have to get her checked out while under warranty.

Well we have sandy draws here in NW Oklahoma also. I had a similar expericence in the sand, but my hubs were unlocking when going from reverse to drive, leaving me in 2H, and leaving me burried, until I manually locked the hubs and put it in 4L. I have not noticed any vibration when in the sand , but I always lock the hubs when I know that I will be in the sand.

hahaha sorry. eh!
Its just a place where the water washed out the land when it rains. Kinda like a mini valley. With sand in the bottom.

That is because the weather here is one big drought with occasional flash floods.

The last time I went to the ranch, I hadn't used 4x4 in a while. When I engaged I seem to have gotten some heavy vibration, but it went away after a while.

Hehe those Canandians boys are gonna start thinkin' we all go to the same ranch.

I was @ mine this weekend. Got into some pretty good mud...no vibrations... no 4x4 problems.

FYI: Last week end when I showed my little token Hemi buddy what a little o' 6.0 would do ...approx 100' of dual black lines when I let off the the kicker...there was no rear end hop at all
