sticky drive shaft

I have a '99 ranger 4 wd. that jurk when I stop and drove off. Thinking I had trans. promblems , took it to ford , come to find out they've had problems with other rangers. Seems the slip joint in the drive shaft is sticking causing a bad jurk when stopping and driving off. Had it greased with a different grease , problem has stopped , drive shaft is smooth and free . don't know what kind of grease they used cost 45.00 labour .I'm sending this if anyone else has this problem.

We're VERY familiar with the problem. It's discussed here almost as much as biggest tire sizes

New Grease

They probably used the new Molykote grease on there.

$45 bucks to have it done at the dealership is a pretty good bargain...
