Olymipics Sport?

I am watching this “sport” of trampoline now. Wow, it seems cool, but when would this be classified as a Olympic event. Between this rhythmic gymnastics and curling in the winter, what type of sports are these. I want to see the sport of getting you mail in the summer without shoes on. What do you view as a nonsensical sport in the Olympics?

I haven't really been watching too much, just cant seem to get into the "games" this year. I probably wont start watching the Olympic's till they allow NASCAR to run a few hundred laps at 200mph+...
