First time posting, so here goes. I just bought a 1981 F800. I need to have the drivers side cab corner or corners replaced/repaired. Does anyone know what cab models and years interchange i.e. F700, F800 and from what years etc. I'm trying to find a used chassis since I can't find new or replacment cab corners. Also, I have a 2002 F350 with a 7.3L and I am thinking about ordering the Superchips Microtuner but I am worried it may void my warranty or wreck my truck, any advice or suggestions? Thanks

 

The basic cab structure and interior of your F800 is shared with the 80-86 F100-F350, and the 80-98 F600-1000. The basic cab structure is also the same as all 80-96 F150/F250 LD, and 97 F250HD and 350. The 87-up light F-Trucks use different interiors.
However, a light truck cab won't just bolt on due to a few changes in the heavy truck floorpan, and the rear cab mount locations, due to the 600 and up having straight framerails.

For your cab corner problem, a set of replacement cab corners for an 80-86 F150 will fit the bill.
