Paint Problems

I own a 2001 supercrew, and like many others, my paint is cracking on the hood and roof. I was told the total cost was going to be $1,800. I was responsible for paying 35% of that, the dealer would pay 15% and ford would pick up the tab for the remaining 50%. Still, with so many other owners out there having the same problem, isn't there something that can be done ? Maybe a class action lawsuit or something to get their attention. I had a 97 ford f-150 which also had the same problem and they repainted the hood and roof and front fenders for me for free. Ford has this problem happen way to often for it to keep happening and for owners to keep not receiving retribution. Any suggestions or success stories ??

I have a 2001 ford f150 supercrew that has paint cracking all over im upset also since FOrd wont do anything for me. Anyone have good results with getting it fixed somehow?
