Brand new to the Ford world. Just purchased a 99 Expedition Eddie Bauer edition. Drives great, and not any problems when driving on normal streets. When going down bumpy road, the ck susp light comes on. Manual tells us to clear it and if it persists to get it serviced. What needs serviced, or is there a good possibility that it is a bad relay or something? Thanks.
had the same issue with ours(bought a 99 EB in 12/03) it sagged on one side real bad.
Anyways I checked everything and found it to be a bad passenger side airbag. I pulled it out checked for leaks and found the O- ring was bad. Ford wanted $20 for the kit. I went to auto parts store(Napa) and found a suitable replacement. has worked fine so far for over 4 months,
new OEM Ford replacement air bags can be found on Ebay from anywhere $39- 150.
Also Strutmasters sells them as well aftermarket and all the pumps, dryers etc.

See, it doesn't seem to sag at all. And it only does it after a real big bump or a bumpy road. I will check the lines and the bags this weekend. I wonder if I could inspect them by running water over them with a hose. From what I can see, this is a pretty easy system?
because its hard to see the fitting on the airbag it might be hard to see if its leaking. Ours would literally leak all the air out of the bag within minutes!
Its easy to pull the bag, make sure you turn off the air switch under dash, jack it up, remove clip on top of airbag thru rear fender edge and then bag basically falls out
good luck
hopefully its a cheap and easy fix for you.
