Order in Temp Delay Status?

My order is in "temporary delay status in production". What does that mean?

It shouldn't be impacted by any of they delays that I have heard about. It has 18" wheels but is an F350.

Is anyone else's order in this status?

Thanks,
Mark

I just ordered a 05 f350 King Ranch and expect it to be delayed due to the trailer brake option and wheels. I read somewhere that both were an issue right now.

It finally says..."your unit is scheduled to be built the week of Sept 6th." So when should I see it at the dealer? By the end of Sept???

I have an F350 Lariat Diesel Crew on order and was told by my dealer today that there are no delays on the crew cabs but there are for the smaller cabs. Seems
like Ford is directing wheels and brake controllers to crews for some reason.

I hope yours arrives soon.

7 weeks and counting....

Mike

Higher paying customer priority maybe... That's what I'd do if short on supply.

Markha;

how are you going about getting your info about the status of your truck. I ordered mine back on 7-05-04 and getting any info out the dealer the status has been meet with a lot of apathy. I'm getting pretty tired of it and I would like to see if there is a way I could check myself. I would change dealers but I've already got a lot of time invested.

You're really at the mercy of the dealer on this one. There is a phone number to call, but it's supposed to be for dealer use only, so I can get in quite a bit of trouble if I give it out. However, if you did a search in this forum for "VOPC," you might come up with something.........

Now my order slipped. It used to say... ..."your unit is scheduled to be built the week of Sept 6th."

Now it says... ..."your unit is scheduled to be built the week of Sept 13th."

CRAP!!! Another week??? This wait is killing me!

Has anyone actually received a truck that they ordered? I only know of one person, and he works at a dealership.

Wow... my impatience is really showing through now.

I'm getting nervous, over on TDS some of the guys that ordered 05's are getting them delivered w/out the brake controller, and being told its not an option to install later. They are having to reorder and wait. I'm going to my dealer today to make sure that it comes with it, or it waits until its available. I am surprised nobody would ask the buyers if they wanted to wait or go without.

Smile So Far, So Good....

Well, I placed an order in the first week of August (the 4th), and was told by the dealer that deliveries were running 6-8 weeks - the truck would be in somewhere between Sept. 8-22. The next week I checked on VOPC, which told me that the truck was scheduled to be built during the week of August 19th, delivered the week of the 30th.

I just checked last night (the 24th), and was informed that "as of August 18th", the truck had been shipped via rail car. It sounds like they're ahead of schedule on my order!

(This is an '05 250 CC 4x4, XLT package - maybe there are some delays on the higher level trim packages...)

Did you order the brake controler? If so, let us know if it comes with it installed.

No Brake Controller

Unfortunately, no - I didn't think I'd need it, so I didn't order it. Maybe that's why my order wasn't delayed....

FYI,

Just came from a dealer that had 3 SD F-250s and one had a brake controller in it.
