I have a 2001 F350 power stroke it has recently developed a problem with the steering. This only happens once in a while -- when I go around a sharp corner the steering pulls in the direction I am turning and doesn't want to straighten out. When I bring the vehicle back in line it continues in the other direction and I have to force it back to center and it goes in the other direction. This action continues (it is like a slamming action) until I pull off the road - stop turn off the motor and set for a few minutes. I start it back up and everthing seems to work properly -- even going around sharp corners -- then it just does it again!!
I know this sound strange -- I have never had a problem liken this before -- I had 97 power stroke and put 298,000 miles on it and it was still running strong -- the 2001 has 137,000 miles on it. Anyone have any ideas I would sure appreciate the help-- thanks, mister D
