Well, I had to replace the vacuum pump today. Unfortunately I think I'm in the nickel and dime phase of ownership as I'm closing in on 168K miles. I have replaced my alternator, power steering pump, and vacuum pump within the last year. At least they all now have lifetime warranties.
Oh well, I just had to rant so excuse my complaints. I still love my truck.
Well, I thought I would dig up this old thread to add two more things to my list. In the past month my starter died and today my water pump died, both original parts. I guess I'll have to put off more mods for a while now.
I just had the brake lines all replaced, damn salt in the rust belt. Had all the fuel lines replaced 2 years ago due to a leak there, salt again. New alternator 3 months ago, broke the clutch master cylinder actuator 3 days ago and of course the clutch pedal and assembly went south first just before and thus causing the clutch MC to go south. Boy, I'm wondering if it isn't time to let someone else deal with the truck's future probs... But it is a great truck and I have done so much to make it just the way I want it, it would cost another 5 grand on top of the cost of a new truck to "dial it in". What is an excellent condition '95 F-250HD PS Supercab Long Bed 4x4 with 132000miles go for....
Paid $8500 for the truck in my sig with 230K miles. Put an E4OD in it in the first two months, as well as batteries, GPR, and went through the fluids and filters. The truck drove and cranked well when I bought it, but alas it was not to be. If I had known then what I have learned from this site, I would not have paid over $7000. I have owned Fords all my life, but I was in a cheby truck when I bought this one. The cheby needed an easy $3-5K to get it really right. I may spend that much on mine before this first year is over but I will have 10 times the truck. I would do it again all the same but I would offer less for the truck. I can tell you that I have regretted selling every vehicle that I have personalized or hopped up. Maybe put it in storage for a month or two and then see if you really miss it or not? Good luck either way.

Well, the good news is you're all out of belt driven accessories, so you should be good for another 186,000 now.
Whoops, forgot about the A/C compressor...hope I didn't just jinx it.
What made you replace vacuum pump. I ask this because my brake booster doesn't seem to get enough vacuum. Put a gauge on it and got 15in (whatever that measurement is.... I'm @ 247,000 97 drw. Replaced GPR, solenoids in E40D, Starter, CMP, powersteering hose, and now possibly a vacuum pump. Wouldn't trade it for a cheby any day. I blasted a duramax off the road yesterday with only a 10k mod.
Thanks all for the encouragement on keeping the '95 I have customized. I love the truck and have thought a lot about it. Dropping a grand or 2 a year into is not all bad, it is just when it leaves me stranded and I have to get it towed that I really look towards a replacement...
