Getting through the firewall

I am trying to install some off-road foglights on one of my friends 99 explorer. I am having trouble finding a place to drill throught the firewall to get from the engine compartment to the interior of the car. can someone tell me a good place to drill and where it will come out. any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanx,
rob

Finding a grommet is better & easier that trying to drill . If you are just running the wires from the switch to the relay then you could likely run the wires thru a grommet that already has wires going thru it .

IF your Explorer is an automatic(most are)look where the clutch petal would be located, you will find a metal plug where the clutch rod would go through the firewall.Drill your hole there and put the wire through the hole.Just be sure and put a grumett in the hole.
