I just purchased a 98 Explorer Sport. It has 72k miles. and the 205hp SOHC engine w/AWD. I'm taking it to the dealer to get the throttle cable/cruise control recall done. They also are supposed to fix the intake manifold gaskets if its still under recall. My mileage is pretty crappy at 15.5 mpg (my 98 F150 got 18). Is that normal? I'm going to do a tuneup including sparks and wires. Is there anything else commen that I should be aware of that maybe a problem in the future. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
