I occasionally tow a 4 wheeler on a 5X8 utility trailor and this looks to be ok. My real need was to see if I could pull a car hauler and a classic car restoration project, which will likely exceed the weight suggested. Most 18 foot haulers look to be 2,000 lb and the car will run 3000. The max on the 4.2 V6 is listed as 4600lb. for the 3.31 axel.
