Vibrating during accel.
Hey All,
I've been looking and searching around the site and can't seem to find what I'm looking for. I have an 89 F-250 HD 5.8 and from 0-45 mph I'm getting some pretty bad vibration. It seems to run fine after that. But always during accelleration. All of the threads that I've found have vibration problems at speeds between 45-70 and the culprit seems to be u-joints or balance issues with the drive shaft. There is a little clink when I put it in gear but there is hardly any play in the shaft maybe 1/8"-1/4". Could it be timing? I know it's a little off due to recent motor vehicle inspection. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

if it only does it during acceleration, it could be a motor mount worn out. check all mounts, pull the driveshaft out and move all the u joints thru there range and see if there are any tight spots or looseness. feel for slack side to side and in a twisting motion. it doesnt take much to cause a vibration sometimes.
