Ok, go ahead and quit laughing so you can help me out here. Going through drive thru lane at an unfamilar bank I knocked off the passengers side mirror, and now I can't find a replacement. The manufacture is Etend-a-mirror, out of Montana from what I can read on the remaing mirror. I'd like to find where I can get one so there is a exact replacement. None of the local parts stores have them, and I don't want to rig their products to fit, plus that extention really comes in handy when you're towing. I'd ask if anyone has had this problem before, but I don't want you to be forced out of the closet, so anyone know a web site for extend-a-mirror, or a distributor??? I gotta get it replaced lest I crush a Kia when changing lanes by accident. Thanks guys. Feel free to resume your chuckles now.
Don't know if you are using stock or aftermarket, but the same thing happened to me via a leaning fenecpost. I went to Ford and found that you can not just buy the parts, you have to buy the whole assy. COst was $189.00. About a 30 minute job with wiring.
I have my original passenger side mirror if you would like it. It is not the extendable kind however. I upgraded my old mirrors to the newer style that extends. I already gave away my driver's side mirror to a friend who did the same thing you mentioned. It's pretty easy to smash up those things. The newer ones swing both ways, which is nice.
I have the non-collapsible ones on my truck. I can see as where people could hit anything but the lottery with the things. I used to drive tractor-trailers, so it is instinct to watch out for them, though.
Thanks for all the ideas everyone. I guess I should have clarafied one thing first. My truck is a '97 with the older style folding mirrors. Does anyone even make those anymore? Thanks again.
I have a 1997 Ford F350 with chrome folding mirrors. I was wondering if anybody new where I can get mirror extensions for trailering. There is a company out of Montana that makes or made a bracket that would allow you to use your existing stock mirrors. This bracket allows the existing stock mirror to extend outward for better visibility while trailering. On the rear of the bracket it says Extend-A-Mirror. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it.Thanks.

Keep your eyes open for them in junk yards. a buddy of mine did that to his dad's and we got a set off a truck in the junk yard, like $20.
I broke the glass in my mirror a few years ago. I went to a glass shop and they cut a new mirror for me $10 bucks. Don't know if you just broke the glass or the whole assembly.
