Another language? I haven't even mastered the English language yet. I did learn a bit of Japaneese while living there, but not enough to survive day to day life.

How many languages...
I can read Spanish, but I don't speak it very well. If you'll write it out, no problemo. As far as hearing it and comprehending what the person said, forget it.:-)

You did good, Comprende muchos espanol means: I understand lots of spanish.
I guess it probably wouldn't hurt to take a few classes and brush up on it although you don't run into a lot of spanish speaking people in British Columbia.
Then you are a descendant of Evangeline Bellefontaine, the Acadian legend ! Where is Acadie ??? Canada ??? New Brunswick ??? I have a CD with Acadian music (folk music), you are right, it's french and english...On the explanation of Acadie, they tell that there is no country "Acadie" with frontiers, but well a group of people everywhere in the world, with the same culture and language...
I really need some explanation to know better...can you give me that?
Spoke Spanish at home growing up.
Got English (American dialect) down pretty good.
Spoke adequate Japanese when I lived there (4 years); enough to get slapped, as they say -- enough to ask directions, buy stuff, ask about what is on the menu, where you from, etc. Basic stuff.
Spoke some German after College; good enough to function during a two-week trip twenty years later.
I have lost most of my Japanese and German. But I use Spanish often, so I think that'll stay passable.
