2000 F150 Stereo

I got a 2000 F150 Supercab 4.2L V6 5 Speed.. I since switched out and put a Alpine CD player in.. I noticed I had a second plug which I was told was a Amp plug.. It was plugged into my factory stereo (Cd Player).. Do I indeed have a built in external amp in this vehicle? How can I tell? I was asked if I wanted the second plug adapter for that plug that hooked into my other harness I bought for the aftermarket stereo.. I'm wondering now if I do have an amp that I'm not even using in the truck..

A third smaller plug will be present for a premium (amplified) system. The second plug (the one you have and everyone else) is not only for a changer, but for any auxillary equipment from the factory. I.E. cd changers, cell phones, DVD players, rear controls, etc.
