Need help with A/C
I have a 98 Explorer w/ 4.0 SOHC and auto climate. Rrecently my A/C does not blow cold air any more and I checked the lower pressure port and it reads around 35-40 psi. I notice that the compressor clutch is engaged all the time. It will not engage if I pull the connector for the lower pressure switch off and will engaged if I jump it. What could be the problem? Could it bew the blend door failure? I can change the temperature and the air temperature will change form cool to warm. Any helps are appreciated.

The pipe coming out of the low side were the port is should be cold and condencing, if so than you are charged ok...i think you are since you said the compressor is running all the time, it will run all the time on hot days, the cooler it get the less it will run, but i would check the blend door that sounds like that is the problem
