Im planning on a set of long tube headers and probably the edlebrock aluminum heads... my question is which carb should i use. Curently on the truck is the stock 2bbl ford item with stock manifold. I was thinking of a holley 600cfm vac. secondary 4bbl on a performer manifold (or maybe a performer RPM)
Is this likely to be enough carb or shuld i look at a holley 650 double pupmer 4bbl ????????????
The Performer RPM heads are well matched to the Performer RPM intake, and work well together. If you use the stock heads they WILL work well with the RPM intake if you port match the heads to match the ports of the intake. See my thread "Porting Revisited" for more instructions on this. If you use the RPM intake and leave the heads alone, it'll flow like poop and you wont be happy.
The holley 600cfm vacuum secondary is an exceptional carb for any 360 and most 390's. Use it.
