Have a 87 F250LD with a low clutch pedal.Thought to have a worn clutch because when just barely letting my foot off the truck would move.after further inspection I found that when I pushed on the clutch pedal the master cylinder for the clutch would push away from the firewall. Is that piece of sheet metal on the engine side that the clutch and brake master cylinders are connected to spot welded,if so should I have it welded or just drill a coule holes and bolt it. Tony
Thanks for getting back.I did bolt it in place and the clutch pedal is now where it should be.Now I have to figure out a different setup where the chutch pedal linkedge connects to the rod of the cylinder.Tony
Sorry no pics.I drilled a 3/8 hole about a 1 1/2 inches to the right of the top mount of the clutch master cylinder.I used a 12inch long drill bit to sqeeze between the clutch master and the brake vacume booster to do it.It was a pain in the butt, but it worked. My truck goes on the road next month.Tony
