just woundering??
i was just wanting some tip on what to check before towing ?i have a 5th wheel and i am a beginner have only towed about 6 times.any info on what to look at or any good advise.

Check the lug nuts on the trailer. check out www.rv.net/forums and/or www.Irv2.com for additional tips.

What to check before towing?
Check the air pressure in tires 5ver and truck
After backing under hitch, look at the back of hitch to ensure it did latch
Attach the breakaway lanyard
I use a large rubber band to ensure the 7 pin plug stays in place (around the cover and plug)
Walk around trailer and make sure all jacks are up, cords and hoses are disconnected and TV antenna is down. I have done all of these at least once.
When first starting out check brake operation with manual brake switch on the control
During first stop of if short trip when you arrive check all the hubs by hand to check for excessive heat
Know your tow vehicle and trailer limitations
When behind the wheel engage Brain and us Common Sense
