Which LSD to get

I am between a detroit truetrac which is supposed to be a gear driven LSD like a torsen LSD or an Auburn LSD. I do not want the quirkyness of a locker since it is a daily driver. I have no experience with the truetrac but like the idea of no clutches.

The TrueTrac is alot more money than the Auburn. I would think the TrueTrac would last longer and work better over the long run than the Auburn. That is just my opinion though, as I have had neither of them in my trucks. I say that because as the clutches in the Auburn wear out, they become less effective at limiting wheelslip. The TrueTrac has been around for a long time and is known to be reliable. I have heard complaints by people with Auburns saying their clutches wore out quickly and became ineffective at limiting wheelslip. Of course I'm sure for every guy who has an Auburn that wore out quickly, there's probably another guy who has had one last for several years with no problems and it still works fine....
