Different Idea???

Fellow FTE friends,

I often drive down the road and I notice every other PSD on the road. And along with that I wonder how many of them are people I have read posts from or corresponded with on this site. I have thought about waving just to say Hello mt PSD brothers, but I do not As not to appear as a RETARD. Any how I was thinking of how we all could greet one another in our own way as FTE readers and just know we are in the midst of friends?

Dumb idea I know that is why I am writing this post for some input.

I've had similar thoughts, but when I realized that there have been 56 bejillion Powerstrokes built, and the total number of people that come to this website is measured in thousands, I didn't think my chances of stumbling across another forum member were very good. However, since you live in Phoenix, you might run across HeatStroked down there.

I've thought about this idea too. Back when I owned a jeep all other jeepsters would wave at each other. Bikers do it too. Why shouldn't PSD do it to. We all have the same passion. If not a friendly wave what about a cool looking logo/sticker/brand? Any graphic artist out here? I know I catch myself seeing what fellow PSD's have done to their rigs.

I don't think it's a dumb idea at all .When I drove over the road drivers waved at each other all the time . As new drivers came up they didn't wave and the kinship was lost .
Yes we are a subculture onto ourselves and should recognize one another .

You guys see my point cool. I too ride a motorcycle and yes I wave to other two wheelers. And that is probably why I brought this point up to begin with. I also tow a 5er toyhauler and most Rvers wave to each other too. Just thought that we PSD owners could show our oride in our subculture as well. And yes Quad, I actually have run into Heatstroked. Cool guy!!! Likes to help me with questions and up grades on my truck. I also have networked with a couple others here on this site in the local area. Have not met them yet only through phone and private emails. Nice guys and a wealth of Knowledge. I think the Idea of a decal or something is a good idea,MMMM

Thats a great idea. A friend of mine is a graphic designer and would probably make some decals for us if I asked him. What would you guys want them to look like. Would they say FTE on them or something like FTE PSD? Lets get some ideas together and I will contact him.

That would probably eventually break off from weather, carwashs, etc like my american flag I once had there.

Doesn't FTE already have a sticker? What about a windshield banner? Not sure everyone would want something THAT big. I could go for a cool smaller sticker, though.........

I too drive through Phoenix quite often, wondering whos' PSD I might be passing. Finding someone while going cross country would be even cooler.

Maybe something on the lines of a rear or front window decal? I have the FTE decal but I'd rather stand out as part of the 7.3 PSD crowd. Maybe have an overall design with individual variations for the forums?

Talk about crappy luck, I just met a fellow PSD owner, not a FTE member (yet) His garage was on fire. Not to worry though the truck was outside. Oh yeah wife and kids out too. Unfortunate for him he went back to try and put the fire out. Suffered some 2nd degree burns to hands and feet . He will make it though. At least the truck is ok. Hey the decal thing sounds cool. What do you all think of a ford oval with a PSD or FTE in the middle? One big enough to see but not gaudy looking. Lets say about the size of the firefighter maltese union stickers, or the USMC decal?
