FTE and PSD should definantly be in the emblem. I like the Ford oval idea. How about as a outlined colored laminant. Most tint shops can gen up something like that and mass produce them at very little cost.

We would probably need to see if FTE would allow us to piggyback on their name. Maybe they could even point us to their decal manufacturer. Someone want to ask?

I will talk with a friend on this site he knows a decal maker and get some costs maybe. I do not want to volunteer him without asking first. If we go with the PSD or even 7.3. Then we would not have to ask ford or FTE for their permission as it would be a decal we made up. Ford doesn't own the oval or the #'s 7.3.

Somebody should run this by Ken (webmaster), make sure it's ok to use FTE.

Fte already does have bumper stickers, but they are not too attractive. If they were to be reproduced on a clear backing it would look a ton better.

Sounds like a winner to me. What does Ken think about it? Haven’t seen him chime in yet. I could always spot Quadzilla because of his license plate. But it won’t work for me because "Craze" is already taken.

I've seen a lot of Dirt bikers put he "FMF" stickers cut out the the ford ovals and place them there as well, maily on the tail gate, but both front and rear wouldn't look bad. I'm more for the PSD lettering, maybe some smaller letter over top or under with 7.3, either way I like the idea as well.

Hey Fire, Did you think that this post would take off like it did? I was surprised by all the threads in just 24hrs! Sounds like the ball is diffently rolling. I think the decal could be several different sizes/designs. When I was a memeber of the Military Vehicle Preservation Association they had several different size decals. That way people could pick the right decal for their personality. I would be interested in a upper windshield design (I've been looking for one that I like but havn't found one yet) but other people might like the decal to be on the bumper or under the PS emblem on the fender. The oval shape I think is a given but it seems like the content is up for discussion. So, which FTEers are in the Midwest? I'm located in Springfield, Mo.

semper,

No I did not think this thread would take off like this, I am glad to see that other PSD owners here think the same way I do!! I cannot wait until we can get close enough to come up with a design for "our" decal and get them on.

What do you think about a tag for the front? Course some may already have tags on!

I like the Idea!! I also agree with different sizes for different folks. I also like the front tag idea and an oval one for the tailgate (my personal pref). I'd really like to see this happen.

Guys Being new here I'm not sure my vote counts.
I like the oval sticker idea. One just big enough to cover the dealer sticker they put on my tail gate kinda out of the way yet easliy seen

Hey FR...if your friend doesn't come through...I can probably make the decals for you. (I am in the sign business here in Phoenix.) I wonder how many we would need? My first thought would be to have the FTE decal on a front license plate, but I guess that might be a problem for the guys who live in places that require front license plates on their trucks. At any rate....here in Arizona, I would probably want my decal on the front bumper where the license plate holder is located.

I like the FTE in the oval idea.....perhaps a takeoff of the FMF logo for dirt bikes. Then perhaps "PowerStroke" can be in block letters located under the logo. That should be pretty readable. If you guys don't mind....I'd be happy to have one of my designers draft up something real quick and I can post it back here for review.

Hey guys,
I guess I just have too much time on my hands... I played around a little and came up with a sticker proof for everyone to look at, shoot holes in, pick apart or whatever the case may be. I put it in my gallery. if anyone wants a copy of the file to chew on, let me know

That's excellent!
Blue lettering on clear would be great.
