Does the safety switch have an adjustment or anything on it or can it be replaced or what? Mine is now not working right..have to reach under dash & pull on it to get it to engage the starter..any ideas?
Thanks,Brian
What year is the truck? On the 99+ trucks there is no adjustment on the CPP switch, but there is a positioning clip that holds it in place. Dunno if it's the same on the 94-97.
Mine is a 94.5 or smae as a 95 I guess..It did have a lil clip looking thing but I didnt know where it came from or how to reinstall it & what its purpose was..It doesnt look like you can just change the safety switch out but may be able to..
I would just as soon get rid of it . I've been driving long enough to know to push the clutch in when starting my truck ! Same goes for the warning buzzers ( which I disabled ) . How did we know to push the clutch in to start or take the keys with us before all this crap ? Guess I'm just gittin old and set in my ways !
Hey..that would work for me..but my luck my 3 year old would get in it at sometime & start it & off he goes..I had a friend of mine his lil boy(3 at the time) started a car & somehow got it in drive & totaled it by hitting a tree...I wouldnt even know how to bypass it anyways..several wires running into there..
