Adding extra vacuum canisters?
Since accessories like the AC vents and the cruise control use vacuum, would it be possible to add extra vacuum canisters to provide extra stored vacuum? With 123K on my motor, and operating at 5,000 feet plus, vacuum can be an issue. There are two vacuum canisters under my hood. First, I need to check them for leaks. Assuming that they are good and I would like extra stored vacuum, could I add an extra one on each side, simply using a tee to cut it into the system?
I am wondering if this would 1) help keep vacuum, 2) not accomplish anything, or 3) actually cause problems.

Adding vac cans to a system(ac) with good hoses and vac motors- and good vac. check valves is just a waste of money and time.Hard accel.-engine vac. goes to 0 vac.- engine levels out(or at idle) and vac. should be around 15 in.See why you have a reserve tank?? Pulling vac on motors and tanks should hold vac when checking with vac pump- not leak right away.Common prob. are tiny plastic vac. hose cracking and breaking and bad vac. motors- bad check valves and wreck related cracked plastic vac. tanks or rusted tomatoe vac. cans Cruise control on 92 and up are electronic(no vac.) earlier are vac servo- check valve built in - have seen vac diaphrams bad-- but you do know your engine has to make suff. vac to make vac. operated devices work!!! Good luck (ps ac-vent and and floor air will blow out defrost on hard long accell on bad systems- saftey issue- fed mandated)
