Seems the blower motor quit.Figure I'd eliminate the motor first. Went to hook up a battery to test it. Seems both leads are positive. How do you hook up to test it?
I've got the same problem on a 91 explorer also. My wife came home tonight to tell me that the heater didn't work in her rig. I of course thought that I was going to be chasing a cooling system problem.
Actually it turned out to be that the blower motor fan just quit working. Now as far as the fix goes, I haven't chased it too far yet. Just verified that the fuses were good and thought I'd peak at this message board and look for any easy answers. Dang, didn't find anything either. I'll let you know when I find this solution if you'll do the same.
Hmmmm.....where to start??
For now I'll hit the hay and get into it tomorrow evening.
Thanks ahead of time for anyone with info that may streamline my new "project"
My blower quit in my '94 and it turned out to be the blower relay in the little black plastic box on the fender in the engine compartment. To check it just pull one of the other relays with the same no.s(on a non essential circuit)and swap it in, if your blower works then they're about $10 at NAPA.
