On my 2001 EB one of the two license plate lights is broken completely, and the other works if I flick it with my finger a couple times (tough to do while driving).
The one that's toast, the lamp socket is rotted out and there's no hope. I need to replace it, but don't know where to find one. Is this small part generally a go-to-the-dealership piece? Are there any tips or gotchas that anyone's encountered in the past replacing these?
Try an auto recycling yard. There are plenty up in the Leominster/Fitchburg area! Pepperell has a supplier of aftermarket electrical replacment parts. I can't remember the name though...
Your local auto parts stores has some of these types of items. (Auto Zone Advance auto, NAPA etc). May want to try looking there too. Basically you want to cut the wires and splice in the new one. It is easier that trying to take apart the connector.
