Mount them anywhere you want, as long as its not upside down, and there is room for air to flow to keep them cool.

Well i know that much. I am trying to keep them out of sight. So far all i can come up with is put them under the front seats. In order to do that i must hack the vent that r under the seats. I can make them a foot shorter but i will lose air to the back and i will have air/ heat on the amps.

Check my gallery for an idea. I had to cut the frame a bit on my back seat ('00 superduty ext cab) but you'll get the idea. Made for a clean install and stays pretty cool (with factory cab vents on opposite sides of the amp, worked out perfect).

I got an '03 CC and I mounted my 1 of my amps on the wall behind the rear seat. The other is under the seat driectly below it. No problems with airflow or overheating. Pics in my gallery.

This is very good advice. This is often overlooked. Some people don't realize how heat affects an amp's stability. Even if an amp doesn't shut down, excessive heat will keep it from operating at its optimum. And a problem with amplifier output devices is that the hotter they get, the more current they will flow(it has to do with thermal coefficient), and the hotter they will get still, so proper cooling is a must.

So putting them behind a rear seat is not a good idea?

Air circulation is a definite bonus, but not everyone is able to fit their amps in a prime location for air circulation. Do you have any kind of vents behind the rear seat? If so, that would still be an option plus it's out of sight. I live in AZ where the cab of my truck easily reaches 120+ degrees in the summer and I get in and crank that amp (6 channel ppi art series) and it works like a champ <knock on wood>. I've been contemplating wiring in a couple of small fans in there down the road but as of yet, still rockin'...

Someone posted a while back, they installed 1/2"MDF behind the carpet on the back wall, thus not having to drill into the back wall. If you want it out of sight, you're probably looking at the back wall, or under the front seats, and under the seats you'd probably still see them depending on where the seat is at. There should be some vents on the back wall for cabin pressure, mount them next to those if you ask me.
