Depends.! If you get caught on a plowed dirt road on a hill just jump out cause the only thing those are good for is a flat field with up to 2 feet of snow... warm snow is the worst. Nice mud tire though. and in the woods in winter.
Wouldn't catch me with mud tires on snow in the winter, heck no! I went for that look (32" siped BFG Mud Terrains) in a Colorado winter and I was all over the road. Come to find out (after the fact, of course) that big, bad knobby tires are not always the best choice for driving on snow because the snow packs in between the gaps and creates essentially a wheel of solid snow/ice... Not too good when it comes to traction.
Great looking tire & rim set-up though, no doubt about that.

four wheeler did a review on some all terrain and mud terrain tires for snow.. They seemed to like them both They had a hard time sayin which was better. I think like mud, you need a mud terrain that cleans itself easily. At least that seems logical... Unless of course it packs in and freezes!
they seemed to work for me for the last 3 winters on my ol 79 f350 and the others were almost wore out.I go into the woods alot and cut firewood , camping, play in the mud and they seem to be the best i have used in my 20 yrs of playin in the mud/snow but they do suck on ice, i don't think anything but studs work on ice
