'04 V8 Explorer Mods
I'm a newbie to the forum with an '04 Limited Explorer with the V8. Has anyone seen any aftermarket mods (c/a intake, mass airflow sensor, etc) for the new year? Granatelli seems to have some good products, but none for the '04 application. Also, I'm looking for a billet grill to replace the OE grill. I've seen some decent "inserts" that attach directly to the stock grill, but I'm kind of skeptical about how the stock grill black bars will show through. Any insight to my searches would be greatly appreciated.

I just ordered a T-Rex billet grille and I'll let ya know. I would also be interested in any performance upgrades for the 4.6 V8. A turbocharger would be nice! I nice cat-back exhaust would be nice also.

I took a look at the TREX website and I like the look of their product. I'm interested, did you purchase the EZ insert or the replacement insert. Take some pics if you can after you're done either way, would love to see it in action.

I bought the replacement insert. Hopefully it comes in this week. I'll take a picture.

hey gang, found a website today, fordperformancespecialists.com, and they have a borla catback exhaust system, they say custom made for any 4dr, v8 explorer for $299. Don't know any of the details yet, but I e-mailed them, hope for a response soon.
