having a bit of trouble finding another cab so anyone able to point me in the direction of some patch panels or what i can rob from other vehicles to repair my cab.

 

Northernclassictrucks.com ....... they sell cab corners, floor boards, front lower cab braces, front kick panels........everything you need to fix them right.

if you head south and go over the hill - yes there is life on the other side of the bombays - i'm in hams -theres been acouple advertised lately - 1 for $6000 needed rear guards and a pick up bed - (all the rest had been done) and theres been a couple of others for $17000 (advertised in Trade and Exchange) - depends on what type of cond your looking for and whether you want it ridgy didgy or slammed and blown i'm just doing the big hunt down for parts b4 i start putting mine together - it's always hard with no $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ but i'll keep an ear out

not 2 bad i worked out what i can rob off other vehicles so that helps heaps - a lot of it has just been coincidence - my truck i actually turned down for free with the flathead v8 still in it 'cos i had a couple of dirty holdens i was spinning for some $$$$$$$$ to pay for renovations to my house so the truck went to another guy down the road who i got it off when i decided i wanted it - $250 minus engine, radiator and in pieces so trying to work out how stuff goes is a bit of a pain - i ran into a guy at the lake who hooked me up with a new grill for $60 and put me onto a few other sources - another mate put me onto another whole jailbar (3tonner) i had to walk through head high gorse just to have a look but there wasn';t much left of it (tin worm had had a field day) there were a few bits i could have used but it wasn't really worth the effort of trying to get it out (there was a myriad of trucks there old beddy's chev's - most of the bodies were rotten but alot still had good chrome and bits and pieces) just not the stuff i wanted - biggest headache i'm having is finding a bed - apparently theres someone who does 'em for a grand - but i have to go and see the guy who told me about it and find out more
