Hmmmm.....the price is right. I'm going up to BTS a week from today to get my chip reburned...was thinking that I might get a ride in one of their twin pump trucks, but for the price difference between te BTS twin and the Psychopump, I could almost get Swamped.
Decisions, decisions......
Then again..the wallet's still stinging a bit from Mrscookie's new Rainbow...maybe I'll just stay on the fence a bit longer.
Hehehe... Psycopump and Swamps... that'd be fun... easily punch a hole in the 400 HP mark... I think I'd be wantig to make sure I had forged rods and not PM units... lol
The injectors are run by high pressure oil. The solenoid on the top of the injectors turns them on and off and when they are on the high pressure oil is what drives the fuel into the cylender. The high pressure oil is up in the 2500-3000psi range. For stock injectors the stock High Pressure Oil Pump is fine but when you go to some of the larger aftermarket injectors it doesn't flow enough volume as the injectors require more volume per injection to inject the added volume of the fuel. These new oil pumps are what we are talking about.
What I like best about the Psychopump is nothing has to be relocated. The fuel filter has to be raised with the BTS twin, and with Swamps pump the filter and glow plug relay have to be relocated.

Ya but with the swamps pump if you need more volume or the pump goes bad you just buy a new pump for $200. They use a universal type mounting for the pump. Most of the cost is in the bracketry. With the Psyco pump you just get what you get and there is no upgradeing or anything. I've also heard (but don't know for sure just heard) that the psyco pump will run the pressures to high if you have smaller injectors. I heard it isn't as well regulated becaue of the much higher capacity of the pump. This may be wrong like I said it is just what i heard.

Well, time will show the details. It's not too likely I'll be on the leading edge of the hpop wave, so I'll have lots of other people's trails and tribulations to study before I decide.......don't you just love the internet.
Im still waiting on my swamps pump. Its been a while but its going to be worth the wait. I cant wait to see what this truck does with 175cc singles and the pump. Should be here this week. Ill keep you all updated.
You guys have peaked my interest in this new HPOP, but I still can't figure out a $2K vacuum cleaner??? Now I once had a pipe that filtered through water......never mind.
Cookie, you must be a very tolerant husband, If my wife brought home something like that, I'd be in jail for murder before the night was out.
