04 Excursion 20 pin connector DVD HELP!!!!
I have an overhead DVD player from a wrecked 04 Excursion, I want to install it into my 04 F350. It has a 20 pin connector, I cannot find any wiring info on it, even from the dealer. The 12 pin deal seems to be an easy install using an FM modulator, I suppose the addl. wires are for the wireless headphones. Any ideas from anyone?

I dont know, I dont play with riggings, just the factory original stuff... its plenty of work just to keep the original stuff working.. LOL
Im sure there are a lot of people who have done something similar on this forum. The only thing I see you may have a problem with is the ACP protocol network, but Im sure someone knows a work around.

Most factory harnesses these days come with the headliner. Its glued down to the headliner. That page was the only page shown for the DVD. Now I know the dealer installed unit has two connectors, one on each side of the unit. It is an all black unit. Factory has a large plastic console almost the width of the headliner on Excursions that I have seen and color keyed to the headliner. The dealer installed unit is only about 12 inches by 18 inches.
If it were a dealer installed unit you could probably get a wiring loom from the dealer and yes it uses an FM modulator.
