I am looking into an early Bronco and have found a few. I want to know from all of you out there that own EB's, what are some problem spots to look for on the frame or vehicle. ex. rust prone areas and what a good price is. take in mind Im in Michigan. One i have found is a 72' V8 302, D44 w/e drums, 2 gas tanks, 3 spd and it apprently runs. What is a good price for this EB? some pple are asking 7 Gs for a stock bronco. That just seems high to due to my budet restrants. Thanks for all your help and info

Rust spots...check the tub, rockers, tailgate, front of the hood.. I could go on and on. If you don't mind waiting to find the one you want.. The later years the better. 76 or 77 would be my choice. They have alot of options the early ones don't. I fell into a deal when I found mine. I was looking on and off for a couple of years. I paid 2k for mine with a bad engine. Very little rust, 7"s of lift, 36" TSL's, new top, new seats, etc... Take your time and learn as much as you can about them before you buy..
Yea I have heard the the later 70s are better. But they are hard to find. I will deffinately take my time to find the best deal with the most in it. thanks for your suggestions so far

I have 2 early broncos and both have the floors replaced it would be a good idea 2 look there for rust first. as far as price i paid 4k for my 73 mostly set up for mud with trailer kind of ripped me off considering the shape of the body.my 77 i stole for 300$ from some guy that just wanted to get rid of it. good luck!!!!!!!
I have a 71 with a 4 speed toploader. If it has manual steering, the box is probably worn out. There are different options to put in power steering. Door seals always seem to be a problem to get them to seal correctly. They are a project that always is needing a little something.
