Need help decoding door codes
I just got a new to me 86 F150 4x4 and I'm trying to figure out what is in it. I know it has an I-6 engine and a NP208 transfer case and what appears to be a rear Ford 9" axle.
My door code says Trans=k Axle=16 and spring=BL
What gear ratio is the front and rear axle, what is the rear axle 9" or 8" and what are the spring rates?

Ken, that decoder is useless for an 80-86, first off it doesnt' have the majority of Codes used back then, and, second, Ford has changed code definitions along the line also. Heck, I don't think it's on the mark for a 96 either...
