Hey Folks,
I've been wrestling the last 3 nights with reassembling my steering column after I replaced the lock lock cylinder housing and tumbler cylinder.
After reassembly and replacing both upper and lower bearings the steering shaft still has way too much play. I've also lost my turn signal cancellation and steering wheel lock.
AAAAAARRRRRGGGGHHH!
Any insight out there, before I fold and take into the shop to have the pros unscrew what I screwed up.
what year make is your vehicle. I fixed my ignition switch actuator on my 95 f150 i went to ford dealership and they let me photo copy pages from their shop manual. better pictures and steps than haynes
youshould be able to put your steering wheel back on and turn it to lock it back up as for too much play in the shaft maybe you need some new bearings? or you are missing a retainer clip somewhere don't know what to tell you about the turn signal.
